Helping You Find Calm, Clarity, and Connection
Life can feel overwhelming.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or parenting stress, you don't have to navigate it alone.
At Coastal Sage Counseling, I provide compassionate, evidence-informed therapy that helps individuals and families better understand themselves, regulate emotions, and create lasting change.
My goal isn't just to help you feel better today—it's to help you build the skills and confidence to thrive long after therapy ends.
Areas of Focus
I work with adults, adolescents, and families experiencing:
Anxiety and chronic stress
Trauma and PTSD
Depression
Parenting challenges
Family conflict
Divorce and co-parenting
Relationship concerns
Emotional regulation difficulties
Life transitions
Substance use and recovery support
My Approach
No two people are the same, which is why therapy shouldn't be either.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs.
Treatment may incorporate:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
Trauma-informed care
Attachment-based interventions
Mindfulness
Solution-Focused Therapy
Strengths-based counseling
Above all, I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.
What Makes My Practice Different?
My work is built on one simple belief:
When we learn to regulate our emotions, we make better decisions, build stronger relationships, and create healthier families.
Therapy isn't about "fixing" people.
It's about helping you understand your patterns, develop practical tools, and move toward the life you want to live.
You'll leave sessions with strategies you can actually use—not just insight.
Meet Dr. Becky Owens
I'm a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern (RMHCI) in Florida with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a PhD in Educational Leadership.
In addition to my clinical work, I've spent more than 20 years teaching and mentoring others, raised five children, served as a foster parent, and supported individuals and families through mental health and substance use treatment.
These experiences shape the way I practice—with compassion, curiosity, and a deep belief in every person's capacity for growth.
Begin Your Journey
Reaching out for support can feel like one of the hardest steps—but it can also be one of the most meaningful.
Whether you're facing anxiety, navigating a difficult transition, working through trauma, or hoping to strengthen your relationships, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
Helping individuals and families regulate, reconnect, and thrive.
